15U Rules
15U Little League Rules
  1. Must have a Minimum of 10 and a maximum of 14 players on roster. There are 9 teams in the 15u division this season. They will all be in one division this season.
  2. Playoffs: all series are best 3
  3. Round one: 1rst and 2nd seed get a bye. 3 vs. 6, 4 vs. 5
  4. Round two: 1 vs. lowest remaining, 2 vs. other seed,
  5. Round three: Finals
  6. The tiebreaker at the end of the regular season to determine positioning will be head-to-head record or if 1-1 the tiebreaker will be head-to-head run differential.
  7. Each team must have a minimum of 9 players to play a qualifying game. No replacements or substitutions permitted during league play without approval of opposing team/commanding coach and a committee/field director. (Only exception is to have a single 1 game draft of a player or players from the 12u division currently playing on the active roster of a 12u team.)
  8. Player must be no younger than 13 or older than 15 at the start of the league year January 1rst in order to take part or play in any league game. (We do reserve the right to make exceptions if agreed upon by the committee members and the other coaches in the division.)
  9. Bases by rule are to be spaced at 70 ft. Pitcher's base to home plate is 45ft. Pitches are to be a minimum of 4ft arch to a maximum of 10ft arch.
  10. 12 run mercy rule to apply after 5 innings only. (Excluding finals) All at bats start with a 1-1 count with a no courtesy.
  11. No steals, leads or advance of any base runner until the batter makes contact with the ball.
  12. One courtesy runner per inning.
  13. Coaches are allowed 2 defensive meetings per game, with the 3rd defensive meeting resulting in a pitching change
  14. Each player on the roster that is attending the game MUST have at least 1 inning of defense and 1 at bat per game. (Failure to follow this rule can result in forfeiture of the game at the league committee's and opposing coaches discretion)
  15. We do allow an exception on the re-entry and replacement of players in the game. You can remove a player from your starting lineup anytime in the game and put a bench player in for a few innings, and then we allow you to put the starting player back in later in the game as long as he goes back in the exact same spot (or no less than 10 spots later) in the lineup for batting as he was taken out of, or you can just let the bench player in to finish the game. Or, it also allows you to use a lineup spot to rotate 2 players every few innings in the same lineup spot to give them their playing time.
  16. We do not require the ASA Softball stamp on the bats, but all bats must be in usable factory condition with no dents, cracks and no shaved or altered bats etc. (We reserve the right as the league officials or committee to declare a bat unsafe if deemed necessary)
  17. All ASA Softball rules apply to games unless specified otherwise as above by the league officials/committee members.
  18. GCL will supply 1 dozen of 12” .52 core balls to each team. The home team is to provide the balls for the game.
  19. After each game, it is the Home Team's responsibility to text the score to Smokey Steve #717-682-5981


GCL has a zero tolerance policy for any aggressive or inappropriate physical contact or verbal abuse with any player, coach, umpire, fan, parent, or other person. And any breach of this rule is grounds for immediate action, including removal from the position of coach or manager. 


Just a reminder each Team is responsible to clean up their trash inside and outside the dugout!!
